Do you ever see those ads where the guy goes you gotta try this product it will change your life forever, we will send it to your for free just pay shipping and processing, and that sounds like a deal, but is it, in fact it really is a big selling gimmick where more and more businesses are cashing in on this lucrative way of putting one over on anyone who wants it.
So how does this all work you ask, well it's simple a company will advertise a product that only cost them about fifty cent to produce, and then advertise it for about $24.95 but then tell you you can try it for free for a small shipping fee of $7.99, then which you give them your credit card information and 3-7 days later you get that cheap product in the mail, and it turns out the items was not worth it, but you say so what at least i got it free, but did you really? no you did not.
You see this is how it is reality you got a product that cost them fifty cents and the postage cost them $2.89, $2.89+.50 so what happens to the other $4.60 well it goes in their pockets. Whether you got it free or paid the $19.99 it don't matter it's win win for them, they stand to make a big profit just giving away there product for only shipping. There are companies that send you free fashion sunglasses that retail for $99 for a shipping free of $9.99 .
Just about everywhere you look you see something you can get for free, but with a catch, some places that you dine will offer a free sub with the purchase of another sub and drink sounds good right! wrong! you bought a drink so that cancels out your free sub so it's another win win for another business.
Try and remember when the last time you got something free without having to buy anything or pay a shipping charge. It will only happen once in a lifetime, and for me I'm still waiting, so the next time you see an ad that has the word free look out for a con. You can find these ads in your local newspaper, or billboards, how about that get a free cell phone with paid service, sure free cell phone with 2 year contract, surcharges, and extra minutes charge doesn't sound free now does it.
I cant stand infomercials, but i say that now who knows what will happen down the line, maybe I'll come up with a free product concept and make a bundle charging a small fee for shipping. Thanks for reading my blog.

I dont think so, they are scams!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess if the advertisement is too good to be true, you should think twice. Most probably, they are scams.

We should always be cautious and extra careful in buying anything especially if we just saw it on billboards or any form of advertisements. This is because scams are also increasing in numbers. And most of the time, they are really very enticing and convincing.
